Already mentioned in the registers of the tithes of 1278-1279 and 1295-1304 as a branch of the Parish of Pava, because of the numerous restorations( the last one in 1971) it keeps very little of the original structure. In fact, it was completely destroyed by a terrible earthquake in 1751 and then rebuilt some years later; to this period dates back the altar in stucco. Not far from it there is the church of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, a beautiful plastered building of the XVII century with a brick triangular tympanum-portal, decorated on the inside with a rich altar in stucco of the late sienese XVII century with the “Madonna with Rosary and the Saints Caterina and Domenico”.
