It starts from the village of Mucigliani following the sign "Transient Site". This first section, particularly for the spectacular views offered and the path that runs through fields of wheat, can be traveled only during the dry season because it is entirely of clay. Arrived at the level crossing, turn right and continue for a cottage for a few miles to the station in the plains of Castelnuovo.
