Sobborgo Camparboli
ASCIANO
The village of Asciano has always had two suburbs outside the circle of walls: one on the north towards Siena and the other one on the south towards Val di Chiana. The one which is on the north is Camparboli and, contrary to the other one, it hasn’t got building developments in recent times. It is situated at the confluence between the two streams of Bestina and Copra, some hundred metres before they flow into the Ombrone. The suburb, made up of few houses, hold two precious historic evidences: the chapel of the Saints Fabiano and Sebastiano and the church of the Madonna of the garden, of unknown origins but restored in the XV century. The village of Asciano has always had two suburbs outside the circle of walls: one on the north towards Siena and the other one on the south towards Val di Chiana.
