A castle turned into a farm with a parish church (Saint Pietro Apostolo) about 5 km westwards from Monteroni. It is on a clayed hill which flanks the right bank of the stream Sorra, an affluent of the Arbia, along the provincial road for Murlo. Of the castle of Radi, ruined since the beginning of the XV century, it rests today only few pieces of wall with a tower where there was the signor of the family Placidi from Siena, now villa of the marchesi Bichi Ruspoli. In a near chapel you can admire a beautiful fresco with the digit S.P. 1521, of which Ettore Romagnoli wasn’t able to find the author, adding in his memories that the painting could be a work of the friar Bartolommeo della Porta . In the nearness of Radi were found in 1828 some idols in bronze and pieces of Etruscan and Roman potteries, which is a clear mark that on that hill there was an Etruscan settlement. . In the parish of Radi of Creta there is also the oratory of Barottoli, where it is venerated an image of the Madonna.
